We like well written short fiction, especially under 500 words, sometimes called flash fiction, but not to be confused with stories of people taking their clothes off. Those are encouraged even if poorly written.
We like first person, non-fiction narratives, especially of the "What I Did Last Summer" genre.
Poetry is so 18th Century. Still, if you must, then no Hallmark verse, and it better be snappy.
Before sending political rants or essays on current events, please consider: seriously, do we look like we care? No we do not.
We won’t post erotica, but that shouldn’t stop you from sending it.
We hold in high regard the advice of our 10th grade American History teacher who said, "Hey, uh, subtley is the key to wit." Innuendo, word play and double entendre are funny, gratuituous vulgarity isn't. A well placed f-word is hilarious.
In general, we like absurdities, oddities & miscellaneous drivel -- as long as it’s engaging. If it would entertain and amuse friends and strangers at your local watering hole, then it's probably welcome.
